Back in '99 I worked in a shop next to a clock repair in a place called Hog Hollow in Missouri. These images were made in that clock repair shop with the kind permission of the owner who was this really good guy just planted there fixing his old clocks amid all the fascinating clutter. Many of these images have since been used on different projects, both personal and commercial.

Here are two outlines I found on the front of one of those empty buildings on Central this morning. My guess is the building used to be a Salvation Army or something but the only evidence of that are these two empty shields which seem to me to be ghosts of the old SA logo.

Woke really early today and decided to get down to the pharmacy but they hadn't opened yet so with the time I had to kill I went down to Central to see what I could see. A few blocks down on my left I noticed a row buildings that looked pretty destitute so I pulled over into the B of A lot and brought the camera out. As I mentioned, I saw these on the way back from the grocery and had to stop. They're part of some sort of promotional or a Grand Opening or something, though there was no one (else) there at 7:30 on Sunday morning. So I took my few shots of these curious anomalies. Then at home it occurred to me that these images might be interesting as mandalas or slight kaleidoscope-type-things. I don't know.
